I work in "time critical" issues where lives (not dollars) are at stake!

Thus far I have been using MS Project as it permits for "hours or parts thereof". Were the Gantt project to operate at (say) a quarter of an hour level - I would instruct my clients to toss MS Project and adopt FOSS Gantt Project.

Want do you mean by "shared" ressources

Hi guys,

i'm very interessed in shared ressources reature but before spending cells on that vote, i'd like to be sure that the way you intend to implement it is the one i hope for :

I have to handle many (more then 10 at the same time) using some of the (not many enough ;o) ) people i manage.

I've tried to delegate the built and update of each project to a project leader and consolidate all information in "my" project file but when importing the various files, i've been "blocked" by the fact that the ressources common to each sub-projects were duplicated in the "main" project i was building.

i'm sure that's the point every one has already pointed out. But i'd like to be sure that you intend to use a common ressource file and use "links" on the ressources handled in that file so that when consolidating many projects, ressources will not be duplicated and not "import" them in a gantt project (as you said "for importing resource from some data source to GP project", i'm a bit insecure)
